CECLA Board of Directors

Dave Santillo, Chairman - Dave holds a Ph.D. in Environmental and Forest Biology from Syracuse, and an M.S. in Wildlife Biology from Univ. of Maine. Dave currently performs ecological planning for Land Trusts in Maine, and is a partner and guide with Venture Outside.  He's worked extensively on resource management issues, including conservation planning, erosion control, wetlands and stream ecology and planning, and habitat restoration. Dave's been fortunate to have travelled throughout the Americas, and to have been exposed to wonderful cultures, land ethics, and ecological habitats. He's volunteered his natural resource skills for a variety of conservation organizations, and his passions include all paddling sports and outdoor activities, birding, and sustainable living.

Amy Simonds, Secretary/Treasurer - Amy holds a number of degrees (MS, MA, and LCPC) and has a varied background that includes cultural anthropology, music, education, counseling and non-profit management. Amy's most considerable passions lie in community development through the sharing of good food and good music. Amy also volunteers for Slow Food Midcoast Maine, a chapter of Slow Food USA. Her favorite project is called Renewing America’s Food Traditions (RAFT) which strives to shorten and connect the food supply chain to consist of local producers, local purveyors and local consumers with place-based foods that are endangered or threatened. She is committed to increasing the biodiversity of our heirloom seed crops ensuring our ability to feed ourselves.

Alice Elisabeth Osborn, Board Member - Ellie is a music teacher and adventure guide from Portland, Maine. She owns LittleMusicMaker and is a partner with Venture Outside. She is a Board Member for the Portland Symphony Orchestra and is active in numerous other community organizations.
