Dave Santillo

Director

Dave has a PhD in Environmental Biology, and 30 years-experience working in the environmental industry. He cares a lot about environmental issues, environmental justice, and restoration of degraded habitats. His diversions include travel, sea kayaking, wilderness expeditioning, and hiking.

Sarah Watts Martin

MEM, Chairperson

Sarah is a Managing Environmental Scientist and Operations Manager for a leading, global provider of consulting, engineering, and technical services, focused on water, environment, infrastructure, resource management, energy, and international development. She has a Master’s degree in Environmental Management, with a concentration in wetlands ecology, from the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University. She has worked professionally in Maine as an environmental consultant since 2000. In her current position, Sarah oversees specialists who primarily support project work in renewable energy generation and transmission. Sarah has been a Board Member for the Energy and Environmental Technology Council of Maine (E2Tech) since 2014, and is active on the Marketing & Membership, and Program Committees. She also served on the Maine Association of Wetland Scientists Executive Committee from 2010 to 2018, and was the Maine State Director for the Society for Ecological Restoration New England Chapter from 2008 to 2018. She looks forward to applying her energy and enthusiasm to advancing CECLA’s mission to promote and celebrate sustainable living through education, resource management, organic farming, and community building!

Lindsay Quillen

Board Member

Lindsay is a professional Ecologist with a master’s degree from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse, New York. She is a Certified Wildlife Biologist© through The Wildlife Society and currently works for a consulting company out of her home office in upstate New York. Lindsay has extensive experience conducting field studies for work and for fun. Her other passions include music, hiking, camping, skiing, boating, fishing, exploring in the Adirondacks and Green Mountains, and introducing her young children to all of these things.

Amy Gautschi

Board Member

Amy is a communications strategist, writer, and editor with nearly 19 years of experience. She has worked for multiple nonprofits and for-profit businesses and is currently serving as a consultant. A graduate of Wellesley College, Amy lives in Maine with her family and enjoys writing poetry, playing field hockey, hiking, and playing and writing music. She is excited to use her communications skills to help further the cause to save the planet.

Brad Agius

Board Member

Brad is a certified Professional Wetland Scientist and Geographic Information Systems Professional with a MS degree in Biology from Northeastern University. With an early career conducting underwater academic research around the world he currently serves as a Senior Project Manager permitting renewable energy projects with a focus on solar projects in New England for an international consulting firm. He served as President of the Maine Association of Wetland Scientist (2015-2017), and as a Committee Member for both the Conservation Commission and Marine Resources Committee for the Town of Harpswell, Maine. Brad is passionate about the environment and conservation and actively explores wild places hiking, sea kayaking and sailing with his family.
